About The Project: Center Stage Productions designed and built a custom soft play park that transforms common area space near the food court into an immersive Mayan themed adventure play environment. The installation uses commercial indoor playground structures to take children on a storybook journey filled with jungle animals, an ancient Mayan pyramid and celestial surprises.

Kids can explore a large pyramid, a crocodile, a spider goddess , message frogs for playing leap frog, a quetzal, a hummingbird, a snake/Kukulcan and a jaguar. All of these thoughtfully curated creatures have legendary significance in Mayan history.

Impact-rated foam construction keeps the play space safe, while custom flooring and integrated adult seating let caregivers supervise comfortably.The result is a visually striking soft play environment that extends dwell time, attracts families with young children, and injects energy into a formerly underused section of the mall.

About The Location

Pacific View Mall is a regional shopping center in Ventura, California, managed and owned by Macerich. The enclosed two-level mall anchors nearly one million square feet of retail and serves Ventura, Oxnard, and the coastal communities along the 101 corridor. Major tenants include Macy’s, JCPenney, Target, and a future Round1 entertainment anchor, along with national brands such as Sephora, Hollister, Victoria’s Secret, and American Eagle. Positioned minutes from the Pacific coastline and busy Main Street, Pacific View Mall remains a primary shopping destination for Ventura County residents and visitors.
