This concept was designed and engineered specifically for the entire Hudson Yards campus including The Shops & Restaurants, Vessel, Edge and offices alike.

About The Location

Hudson Yards is a major commercial development and landmark destination on Manhattan’s West Side, anchored by Vessel, the iconic honeycomb structure designed by Thomas Heatherwick that rises 150 feet with 154 interconnecting staircases. The development spans 28 acres and combines luxury retail at The Shops, world-class dining experiences, cultural institutions like The Shed, modern office spaces, and 14 acres of public plazas and gardens that create open green space in a historically industrial area. Located between 10th and 12th Avenues from West 30th to West 34th Street, Hudson Yards sits adjacent to the elevated High Line park and offers direct subway access via the extended No. 7 line, plus connections to commuter rail, the West Side Highway, and the Lincoln Tunnel. The neighborhood has transformed the Far West Side into a bustling hub for shopping, dining, art galleries, and public programming that draws both Manhattan residents and international visitors.

About The Project

In collaboration with Blachere Illumination, Center Stage Productions installed ‘Shine Bright’ holiday light installation at Hudson Yards presented by Wells Fargo, a large-scale commercial Christmas lights and seasonal decor installation featuring over 2 million holiday lights. The project includes a 32-foot illuminated hot air balloon suspended inside The Shops’ Great Room, with additional glowing hot air balloon installations positioned throughout the Public Square and Gardens. The holiday lighting installation also includes an illuminated fir tree forest complete with 725 festive holiday trees trimmed with twinkling warm white lights that outline the outdoor planter beds. Vessel, the honeycomb shaped vertical focal point, is illuminated with simple yet elegant twinkling warm white lights which follow the contour of the handrails on all levels, 360 degrees around the structure. Hudson Yards is brimming with photo-worthy gathering points that reinforce their position as a premier holiday destination for Manhattan residents, employees, and visitors alike.
