About The Project: Center Stage Productions created an immersive seasonal decor installation and custom Santa experience at Chesterfield Mall featuring a multi-sided North Pole village structure. The holiday decor included detailed building facades representing Rudy’s Theater, North Pole Lane City Hall, the Elf’s Savings and Loan, and Comet and Cupids Bakery, all surrounding a central Santa photo area with plush seating and festive backdrops.

Above the structure, hundreds of oversized green and white illuminated ornaments suspended from the mall’s multi-story ceiling created a dramatic vertical volume that shaped a towering tree form visible throughout the atrium. A traditional decorated Christmas tree and coordinated decor elements reinforced the property as a seasonal destination for St. Louis area families.

About The Location

Chesterfield Mall was a major regional shopping center in Chesterfield, Missouri, at the intersection of Interstate 64 and Clarkson Road. Opening in 1976, the mall served the St. Louis metropolitan area for nearly five decades and became the region’s largest shopping destination after Northwest Plaza closed in 2010. At its peak, the property featured multiple anchor stores, a 14-screen cinema, and over 150 retailers before closing permanently in August 2024 for redevelopment into a mixed-use district called Downtown Chesterfield.
